That said, prolonged exposure to swimming pools, saltwater, or long showers will accelerate wear on any plated piece over time. For the longest-lasting finish, we recommend removing jewellery before extended water exposure and swimming.

The stainless steel base handles sweat well and will not rust or corrode. However, repeated heavy sweat exposure does accelerate the natural wear of the gold plating over time. The single most effective thing you can do is wipe pieces with a soft cloth after each wear.
